Girls Volleyball Games vs North Whidbey Tuesday
7th Grade JV: Yesterday's Honor of the Game bracelets went to Gracie for her amazing serves and Makayla for her consistent hard work. We won our first match, but fell in our second. That third match was a back-and-forth nail biter! This team impresses me every day and I can't wait to watch them take on Stanwood this Thursday. 8th Grade JV: The 8th grade JV volleyball team played a tough match against North Whidbey yesterday. The Knights battled against a strong team and were able to return several tough serves. Our team continues to improve and comes to each match with a lot of energy and a positive attitude! The honor of the game bracelet goes to Kate for her effort and coachability. Next match is Thursday against SMS. Go Knights! 8th Grade V: 8th grade Varsity started slow, but finished the match battling back to a tight 26-27 loss to North Whidbey. Liv is as aggressive in the back row, Paisley knew her rotations, and Elise stayed positive towards her teammates throughout!
Volleyball Games vs SMS Thursday
The 7th grade JV is a team of strong consistent servers, but that wasn't enough for us to hold SMS off last night and we fell short in all of our matches. Individually we had some pretty great hits, but what I'm most proud of is the sportsmanship our athletes gave to each other when we didn't make the play and when we didn't win. "Good players inspire themselves, great players inspire others." The 8th grade JV Volleyball team played a fantastic match against SMS yesterday. They won their first set of the year and played great throughout the match. This group works hard at practice and it really shows on the court. The honor of the game bracelets go to Rakie for being able to move on the court and her aggressive play at the net. Allison also received a bracelet for her amazing effort and positive attitude. She is a great teammate! Congratulations girls on a very well played match! 7th Varsity: We lost a tough match in 3 to Stanwood. Our passing and serving was fantastic and much improved from our last meet up against the Spartans. Our team was lead by Grace, Madison and Ivy’s tough serving, and excellent defense by Berlyn. With one week left, our team looks forward to 2 more matches. 8th Varsity: 8th fought hard against a great Stanwood Middle team. Lots of hustle was shown in this match. Emily and Zoey’s confidence continues to grow on the court, Brooklyn worked hard on her footwork, and Victoria was aggressive at the net!
